If you couldn't make it to Goodwood Festival of Speed at the end of June, fear not. Goodwood Revival is just around the corner, starting September 8th and fulfilling every vintage racing enthusiast's dream. While the gathering sometimes features new car reveals, it's always overshadowed by the main event, where rich folks bring their 8-figure classic race cars to the track for a proper flogging on the historic circuit. The lineup of priceless racers looks promising this year, including a track-bred Ferrari 250 SWB. The car will be driven hard around Goodwood by two seasoned drivers, and is a once-in-a-lifetime sight for attendees.

The Goodwood Road & Racing channel uploaded a teaser on Friday, detailing the adventure of a pristine 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, set to race around the Goodwood circuit this weekend. Renowned hill climb specialist/classic racing car driver David Franklin, and GT3 driver-turned Audi Sport test driver Frank Stippler are the drivers of choice. As the video shows, both men traveled to Goodwood a few weeks ago to get some quality seat time in the SWB before the big event.

This Ferrari already has some racing under its belt, having competed in Le Mans in 1961, where it crashed. Its owner bought it a few years ago, restoring it to period-spec quality. Powered by a 3.0-liter, 300-horsepower V-12 and a 5-speed gated manual transmission, this is the perfect classic racer to participate in this celebration of classic speed.
