Anyone who's watched MotoGP during the past decade knows the workmanlike manner in which British racer Cal Crutchlow has fought from back marker to middle of the pack, to podium.
Crutchlow's raced bikes from every manufacturer on the grid, and though he hasn’t aced a series since 2009 - that year he took the Supersport World Championship on a Yamaha YZF-R6 - three races into the 2017 season, the 31-year-old is within a hair’s breadth of Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso for third place in the 2017 riders’ championship.
In this interview with Classic Car Club Manhattan's Michael Prichinello, Crutchlow talks about what’s it like racing solo for a privateer team, LCR Honda, on a 260+ hp, factory-spec Honda RC213V - a bike that demands physicality. Having podiumed in Argentina -- after failing to finish the Qatar season opener -- what will the rest of the season hold?
Plus, what's his daily driver? Spoiler alert: it's a BMW. But which one?
